Types of Dental Veneers Etobicoke

Composite veneers

Composite veneers or Veneers made from resin, are created right on the premises by our highly trained dental hygienist. It is directly applied to the tooth or teeth that you would like to enhance. This type of dental veneer can be completes from start to finish in a single appointment. It can be used to touch up chipped teeth or even redesign your entire smile. The cost for composite veneers are much less than porcelain veneers, however, porcelain veneers are much longer lasting, look and feel like real teeth, and have many more options available.

Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers serve the same purpose as veneers made from resin. They are created in a laboratory. Porcelain veneers are made to measure and cemented onto your existing tooth surface. Typically, the entire procedure requires two appointments after your consultation. The first appointment is to prepare the tooth or teeth and taking the necessary impressions. The impressions will be sent to the lab and mold porcelain veneers from them. The second and final appointment is to cement the veneer onto your teeth. Watch the video below to see how Porcelain Veneers are placed.

Why chose Dr. Savita Chaudhry for dental veneers?

Dr. Savita and her team will go through step by step with explanations and demonstrations of dental veneers placement. She will only proceed when you are ready. At your appointment we will discuss the type of tooth or teeth you would like to replace. Porcelain veneers come in a variety of shapes, colors and size. Each till have to be selected by you. The best part about porcelain veneers is that they never change color. That’s right, they never stain. As we age, our teeth tend to change color depending on our eating habits. With dental veneers, you can drink coffee, tea, or red wine and your teeth will not be affected.

Dental Implants: Damaged teeth can be unsightly and prevent you from chewing properly. With a dental crown, patients are able to regain normal function of their teeth and cover any damages. The procedure begins with a crown that’s custom-designed and shaped like your tooth, which your dentist will fit over each damaged tooth. They’re made of many materials, including porcelain, resin, ceramic and stainless steel.

Dental Bridge: Bridges are used to replace missing teeth, and they’re supported in your mouth by either the surrounding teeth, a dental implant or a combination of the two. Normally, bridges are made by attaching a crown to the teeth on either side of the gap, and placing a false tooth in-between.
